The day started very early with a lot of energy. Daryl and his six groomsmen arrived at the house looking like a small army. They were dressed in their “China Blue” outfits and looked ready for anything! However, the bridesmaids were also ready with some very tricky games. These games are a traditional part of Singapore Chinese weddings, and they are always a highlight of the day.
Because the games looked so hard, the groomsmen almost joked about running away! They teased Daryl and said they might leave him to fend for himself at the gate. Furthermore, the bridesmaids had equal strength in numbers, so the boys knew they had to work hard to see the bride. Thankfully, the brothers stayed to help their friend finish every task.
Wedding Videography to Cover Spicy Challenges
The first task seemed easy at first glance. The boys were given cups of unsweetened black tea. But there was a secret ingredient! The tea had been mixed with bittergourd, which gave it a very strong and sour taste. Not only did they have to drink the tea, but the bridesmaids also made them eat the bittergourd slices too. It was a very tough way to start the morning, but everyone was laughing.
Next, the challenges became even hotter. The bridesmaids brought out bowls of Samyang spicy noodles. To make it even more difficult, they added extra chili padi on top! One of the groomsmen was very brave and finished a whole bowl quickly. Unfortunately, Daryl was left to finish the rest on his own. In addition to the heat, the boys had to keep their smiles for the camera. You could really see the “fire” on their faces in the video!
The last game of the morning was the funniest of all. The groomsmen had to pick a random number from a cup. This number told them which “drag queen” makeup look they had to give to another groomsman. They even played a serious game of “Scissors, Paper, Stone” to decide who would get the silliest look. It was a moment of pure joy that made the whole house shake with laughter.
